Give the entry a purpose
A few consistent words can make notes easier for you to scan. They remain ordinary text in Fastly; they do not create automatic tags, filters, or analysis.
Write and save deliberately
Choose terms you understand, such as “travel,” “late shift,” or “approximate start,” and use them when accurate. Add a short explanation when a word alone would hide an important detail.
A note may record uncertainty, context, or a change of plan. These are self-reported descriptions, and neither the text nor a mood label establishes a medical result or a cause-and-effect relationship.
Use a concrete example
For example, “travel: changed time zone” is more specific than just “travel.” It explains why the displayed local dates might need closer inspection.
Read the note in context
Avoid turning the vocabulary into a rule that makes journaling burdensome. The app does not require a fixed format, and an occasional freeform sentence can be more informative.
Fastly is a lifestyle timer and journal. These notes explain the app and offer reflection prompts. They are not medical advice or a prescribed eating schedule.
