The Fastly app
No account is required. Your fasting sessions, start and end times, chosen goals, journal notes, optional mood and weight entries, daily check-ins, water check-in counts, routine shortcuts, and settings are saved on your device. Records use the app's local database and device preferences.
The app does not send these records to a custom backend. This release has no advertising SDK, analytics SDK, in-app purchases, subscriptions, or automatic cloud synchronization. We do not collect app user data.
Reminders and widgets
If you allow notifications, the app schedules reminders locally with the operating system. You can change notification permissions in your device settings. Home-screen and lock-screen widgets display a limited timer summary through local operating-system storage. Widget refresh timing is controlled by the system.
Backups and sharing are your choice
The app's private record storage is excluded from automatic cloud device backups. You can explicitly export a readable JSON backup to a destination you choose, which may include another app or a cloud drive. That selected destination has its own privacy practices.
Importing a backup replaces the local data managed by the backup. Export your current records first. Keep backup files somewhere you control, especially before deleting the app or changing devices.
When you choose to share an image, the operating system opens a share destination. Fastly's progress images do not include private journal text. Review any file or image before sending it to someone else.
This website
The site is hosted on Vercel. Loading a webpage sends ordinary technical request information, such as an IP address, browser information, requested URL and time, to the hosting provider so the site can be delivered and protected. Vercel's own privacy practices apply to its infrastructure.
This site does not use advertising trackers or analytics scripts. Its color-theme choice, saved article bookmarks and reading-checklist states are stored in your browser's local storage. They are not linked to an account or sent to a Fastly database. Clearing this site's browser data removes these preferences.
The interactive timer on the landing page is a sample preview. It does not create or upload app session records. Journal search runs in your browser against a static article index.
External links
App store pages, linked references, your chosen share destinations, and email support are separate services. If you contact support, include only information you want to send. Do not email your backup file or private journal unless you decide that it is necessary.
Your controls
You can edit or delete records, archive sessions, turn reminders off, and erase the app's local data from Settings. Uninstalling may remove local records. Keep any backup you want before erasing or uninstalling. Files you exported elsewhere are not deleted by erasing the app.
Fastly is a lifestyle timer and journal, not a medical device or medical advice. It does not infer medical conditions from your entries.
