Know which records you are viewing
The Edit times action repairs a completed record without replacing its journal or protocol. It is useful when you started or stopped the timer later than the event you intended to track.
Make the smallest useful change
Open the session actions and choose Edit times. Select the correct start date and clock time, then the end date and time. Confirm that the end is not earlier than the start or later than now.
Time edits preserve the session protocol, goal, note, mood, and optional weight. The controller sorts by end time after saving, so a corrected entry may move while retaining the same contextual information.
Verify the result
After saving, find the entry again because changing its end can move it in the list or onto a different calendar day. Check duration, not just list position.
| Check | Practical meaning |
|---|---|
| Before saving | Read both complete timestamps |
| After saving | Recheck duration and position |
Preserve an honest history
Edit facts that you can establish. If the original time is uncertain, use the note to explain that uncertainty rather than repeatedly changing the record until a chart looks smoother.
Archive is a separate retained collection. Main-history session totals and current rhythm read the main collection, while JSON backup export includes both main history and archived records.
A worked walkthrough
Imagine a record that began on one date and ended after midnight, with both taps delayed. In Edit times, choose the actual earlier start date and clock time, then the correct following-day end. Before saving, mentally check the chronological order and whether the end is in the past. After saving, find the entry under its corrected completion date and read the new duration. If that duration differs sharply from what you expected, reopen the editor and inspect the dates before making another guess. The app preserves the journal and protocol through a time edit, so you can use the existing note as supporting context. If only one endpoint was wrong, leave the other accurate endpoint alone. Correcting the smallest known mistake preserves more reliable information than reconstructing the entire session unnecessarily.
Fastly is a lifestyle timer and journal. These notes explain the app and offer reflection prompts. They are not medical advice or a prescribed eating schedule.
