Know which records you are viewing
The Month view lets you browse earlier records without scrolling through the entire list. Its arrows change the displayed month and clear any selected day.
Make the smallest useful change
Open the Journal tab, choose Month, and use Previous month until the intended month appears. Look for marked dates, then choose one to narrow the session list underneath.
Archive is a separate retained collection. Main-history session totals and current rhythm read the main collection, while JSON backup export includes both main history and archived records.
Verify the result
A month with no visible records can simply be outside the period you tracked or contain records you archived. Check the archive if you remember intentionally moving them.
| Check | Practical meaning |
|---|---|
| Month arrows | Change calendar period |
| Marked date | Has a main-history session |
Preserve an honest history
Do not infer an app reset from a quiet month alone. Compare neighboring months and the unfiltered List view to understand which records are actually present.
Each completed record has its own start and end. A valid correction keeps end at or after start and no later than now; a running session instead uses its stored start and the current clock.
A worked walkthrough
Imagine looking for a note you remember writing around a trip several months ago. Move the Month view back to the likely completion month, then use marked dates to open the relevant session lists. If the note accompanied an overnight session at the edge of a month, check the first day of the following month as well. Changing months clears the previously selected day, so read the new section heading before deciding what the list contains. If the expected period remains empty, inspect List and Archived sessions to establish whether the records are elsewhere. A valid backup import made after that trip may also contain an older dataset, but do not import files merely to search them without understanding replacement. Begin with the local views, which let you investigate without changing the ledger at all.
Fastly is a lifestyle timer and journal. These notes explain the app and offer reflection prompts. They are not medical advice or a prescribed eating schedule.
