Try the Minimal orbit style

Minimal orbit changes the timer ring to a finer visual line. It is an appearance preference, separate from the duration being recorded and the goal comparison.

Minimal orbit changes the timer ring to a finer visual line. It is an appearance preference, separate from the duration being recorded and the goal comparison.

Adjust the relevant control

Open Appearance and toggle Minimal orbit. Compare the preview, then read the actual timer numerals and goal on Today to see whether the finer ring suits your use.

Follow system concerns device motion and bold-text preferences. An explicit in-app reduction or bold-text choice can also request that behavior; review the combination instead of assuming one toggle tells the whole story.

Check the real screen

If the line is harder to see, consider your High contrast ring preference or return to the fuller style. A simpler appearance is useful only if the important information remains readable for you.

Keep presentation and records distinct

The timer's elapsed value and stored timestamps do not become less detailed when the ring looks more minimal. This control changes the visual treatment rather than the record.

Timer status includes words and a semantic description rather than relying on color alone. Read elapsed time, goal, and active state together, particularly when a full ring could be mistaken for an automatically stopped session.

A worked walkthrough

Suppose you like the cleaner preview of Minimal orbit but usually check the phone from farther away than you do in Settings. Enable the style, return to Today, and evaluate the value, caption, and ring from that normal viewing situation. A finer line may feel quieter yet be harder for you to distinguish, in which case the standard ring or a different contrast setting may be more practical. Keep the numerical elapsed value and verbal status as the primary checks. A full thin ring still means progress has reached the selected threshold; it does not mean the session has automatically stopped. Changing back is a presentation preference and does not require a time correction, a new session, or a backup import. The useful outcome is a timer view you can understand promptly, rather than a style chosen only because it looks minimal in a static sample.

Fastly is a lifestyle timer and journal. These notes explain the app and offer reflection prompts. They are not medical advice or a prescribed eating schedule.
