A REFLECTION · JOURNALING

Leave the mood field blank intentionally

No mood selected is a valid choice. You may not remember a useful label, may prefer words in a note, or may simply want to record timestamps alone.

Give the entry a purpose

No mood selected is a valid choice. You may not remember a useful label, may prefer words in a note, or may simply want to record timestamps alone.

Write and save deliberately

Open the journal and keep the empty mood choice selected. Add optional text only if it serves a purpose, then save the record without forcing a label.

Normal journal use keeps the information on this device. JSON backup export includes the recorded fields as readable data; the separate progress-image export deliberately excludes the journal.

Use a concrete example

A blank mood means no label was saved. It does not mean a neutral mood, a good day, a poor day, or a missing completed session.

Read the note in context

When comparing records later, avoid silently turning blanks into another category. Treat the absence of a label as missing context rather than an observation about how you felt.

Fastly is a lifestyle timer and journal. These notes explain the app and offer reflection prompts. They are not medical advice or a prescribed eating schedule.
