Identify the reading or comfort need
History offers List, Week, and Month because different tasks benefit from different views. Readability can improve by choosing the view that fits your question rather than changing the data.
Adjust the relevant control
Use List to compare individual rows, Month to locate a completion date, and Week to identify a day worth inspecting. Adjust device text size or bold text if the row text is difficult to read.
Sound and vibration are optional feedback choices. They are separate from appearance and from the operating system's notification permissions, so a quiet-looking screen does not by itself establish silent alerts.
Check the real screen
The selected view does not alter timestamps or journal fields. A day filter can narrow visible entries, so read the list heading when you switch between tasks.
| Check | Practical meaning |
|---|---|
| List | Individual entries |
| Month | Locate by completion date |
Keep presentation and records distinct
Do not archive records merely because a filtered view would be easier to scan. Use a display choice when the purpose is navigation, and an archive action when the purpose is excluding retained records.
Appearance offers System, Light (Paper Studio), and Dark (Quiet Orbit), plus Minimal orbit. These choices affect the visual presentation and do not alter session timestamps, journals, or completed-history ordering.
A worked walkthrough
Suppose your task is finding a particular note from an older completion date. Month is an efficient index into that date, while a full List may be more useful when you only remember the approximate duration. Week is helpful for locating an unusual day but does not replace the individual records. Choose the view according to the search question, then adjust text settings only if the actual words remain difficult to read. If a selected day narrows the entries unexpectedly, clear the selection before assuming the list lost data. Archiving is not the same as choosing a clearer view because it changes what standard summaries include. Use navigation for navigation and data organization for deliberate inclusion choices. This distinction lets you make the screen easier to use without accidentally changing the ledger you are trying to understand or the totals derived from it.
Fastly is a lifestyle timer and journal. These notes explain the app and offer reflection prompts. They are not medical advice or a prescribed eating schedule.
