Read the metric definition
A tall bar is an invitation to inspect the records behind it. It can reflect a single long record, several sessions, or a timestamp mistake, and the chart alone cannot distinguish these.
Inspect the contributing records
Select the matching date in Month view or inspect the relevant list entries. Compare their starts, ends, and notes before deciding whether any correction is needed.
The seven-day chart adds completed main-history durations by local end date. An overnight session is assigned as a whole to its ending day, and multiple records ending that day are added together.
Check the relevant distinction
If the bar contains several legitimate records, its total represents their sum. If one timer was accidentally left open, correct that record using a reliable end time.
| Check | Practical meaning |
|---|---|
| Tall bar | Inspect contributing records |
| Accurate outlier | Keep context visible |
Interpret within the data limits
Do not remove an accurate outlier merely to make the chart look regular. Preserve the event and add context if that helps you understand it later.
Fastly is a lifestyle timer and journal. These notes explain the app and offer reflection prompts. They are not medical advice or a prescribed eating schedule.
