A REFLECTION · HISTORY & RECORDS

Review a long record before deleting it

An unusually long record can be a forgotten stop, a timing error, or an accurately recorded event. Its unusual size is a reason to inspect it, not an automatic reason to erase it.

Make the smallest useful change

Read the start, end, and journal. If you know a timestamp is wrong, correct that timestamp; if the record is accurate, decide whether main history or the archive best fits your review needs.

Time edits preserve the session protocol, goal, note, mood, and optional weight. The controller sorts by end time after saving, so a corrected entry may move while retaining the same contextual information.

Verify the result

A correction may also change the apparent weekly total or current rhythm. Those changes follow from the saved dates and goal comparison rather than an independent judgment by the app.

Preserve an honest history

Avoid editing solely to make a chart visually balanced. A clear explanation next to a genuine outlier preserves information that a tidy but inaccurate series would lose.
