SIDE BY SIDE · GETTING STARTED

Separate an intention from a timestamp

The goal records an intended duration; the start and end record events. Keeping those concepts separate prevents planning choices from being mistaken for measurements.

Understand the record

The goal records an intended duration; the start and end record events. Keeping those concepts separate prevents planning choices from being mistaken for measurements.

Use the controls deliberately

Use the protocol picker to change the intention. Use start adjustment or Edit times to correct an event. Review the result so that each control changed the thing you meant to change.

Fastly keeps one current session, then adds a completed record to History when you stop. The record includes its own protocol and goal, so a later default choice can coexist with earlier settings.

Check a practical example

If you planned twelve hours but ended earlier, the start and end can remain completely accurate. Changing the goal afterward is a different decision from repairing a mistaken timestamp.

Keep the meaning clear

A clear note can explain a changed plan without rewriting the timing. Preserve the facts you want your future self to understand.

Fastly is a lifestyle timer and journal. These notes explain the app and offer reflection prompts. They are not medical advice or a prescribed eating schedule.
