Know which records you are viewing
Archive and delete both remove an item from the main list, but their data consequences differ. Choose based on whether you might want the session and its journal again.
Make the smallest useful change
Use Archive session when you want the record out of the main view but still available. Use Delete session only when permanent removal of that record and its journal is intended.
The month calendar can filter the list to a selected day. Tapping that selected day clears the selection; changing months also clears it, so always read the list heading before assuming records are absent.
Verify the result
An accidental archive can be reversed from Archived sessions. Deletion has no in-app recycle bin; recovering a prior copy would require a suitable exported backup and a replacement import.

Preserve an honest history
Before deleting, consider whether a timestamp correction would solve the actual problem. An inaccurate end time does not necessarily make the entire session or its note unwanted.
