Identify the reading or comfort need
A screen-reader workflow should make the main action and current state understandable together. Fastly provides timer semantics, but your own device settings and navigation habits also shape the experience.
Adjust the relevant control
Move through Today, listen for elapsed and goal information, locate the relevant start or stop control, and verify the resulting state after an action. Then find the completed record in the Journal tab.
Appearance offers System, Light (Paper Studio), and Dark (Quiet Orbit), plus Minimal orbit. These choices affect the visual presentation and do not alter session timestamps, journals, or completed-history ordering.
Check the real screen
Use a deliberate session or clearly identified test rather than creating a series of unexplained records. Archive or remove test entries when they no longer serve a purpose.
| Check | Practical meaning |
|---|---|
| State check | Listen to timer description |
| Action check | Verify start or stop result |
Keep presentation and records distinct
If an announcement and the visible widget disagree, open the app for the current record first. The widget's refresh timing is controlled separately by the operating system.
Fastly is a lifestyle timer and journal. These notes explain the app and offer reflection prompts. They are not medical advice or a prescribed eating schedule.
