Identify the reading or comfort need
System appearance can change a screenshot's palette based on the device state. If you need a consistent visual reference, a fixed theme makes the presentation easier to reproduce.
Adjust the relevant control
Select Light or Dark deliberately, then verify the content and any personal details visible before capturing the screen. Restore System afterward if that is your everyday preference.
Follow system concerns device motion and bold-text preferences. An explicit in-app reduction or bold-text choice can also request that behavior; review the combination instead of assuming one toggle tells the whole story.
Check the real screen
For sharing a selected progress value, the built-in image export may be more appropriate than a screenshot of the full app. Its preview shows the image that will be shared.
Keep presentation and records distinct
A consistent palette does not establish a consistent dataset. Include the relevant date and metric context when comparing screenshots taken at different times.
