Know the data boundary
The system share sheet offers destinations, but the choice remains yours. A useful destination is one where you can find the file later and understand who has access.
Use the supported file workflow
Check the destination name, folder, and sharing status before completing the save. Use a filename with the date or another clear version cue, then verify the file appears there.
The importer expects a version-1 Fastly JSON object and rejects files larger than 10 MB. Record validation checks dates, goal values, note length, optional weight, and the distinction between running and completed records.
Check the copy you actually have
Saving to a service can place the exported data under that service's storage and sharing rules. This is a deliberate file transfer, separate from Fastly's normal local-only storage.

Manage each retained copy
Avoid selecting a group conversation or broadly shared folder by habit. The full ledger is usually more information than a simple progress image.
