Understand the record
A goal in Fastly is a timer setting. Treat it as a description of the session you currently intend to record, rather than a promise that every day must resemble the last.
Use the controls deliberately
Before selecting a protocol, write one sentence about today's practical constraints: a changed shift, travel, a family meal, or simply wanting a different routine. Keep that sentence in the session note afterward.
A goal marker compares elapsed time with the chosen hours. It does not measure food intake, nutritional adequacy, or medical outcomes; none of those can be inferred from a filled progress ring.
Check a practical example
If the plan changes, the final record can still show an honest start and end. A note such as “schedule changed” often explains the difference more clearly than a longer duration would.
Keep the meaning clear
Fastly does not determine which fasting duration is appropriate for an individual. Preset labels are interface choices; they are not personal recommendations or evidence of a medical benefit.
Fastly is a lifestyle timer and journal. These notes explain the app and offer reflection prompts. They are not medical advice or a prescribed eating schedule.
