Read the metric definition
A week with fewer entries may reflect changed circumstances, less tracking, or a deliberate break. Begin with the question you want the comparison to answer, rather than assuming less data means less success.
Inspect the contributing records
Check whether the two periods have similar recording coverage and whether archives or time corrections affected one of them. Read notes for travel or schedule changes where available.
The seven-day chart adds completed main-history durations by local end date. An overnight session is assigned as a whole to its ending day, and multiple records ending that day are added together.
Check the relevant distinction
If one week contains a forgotten-stop outlier, correct the record from known facts before relying on its total. If it is accurate, keep the unusual context visible.
| Check | Practical meaning |
|---|---|
| Coverage | Which events were actually logged |
| Context | What changed between periods |
Interpret within the data limits
A small personal log cannot isolate why two weeks differ. Use the comparison to identify practical questions, such as whether the recording process was convenient.
