Give the entry a purpose
Fastly allows notes up to 5,000 characters. A focused entry usually needs much less, but the limit matters when pasting a long reflection or importing a backup.
Write and save deliberately
Keep the details tied to this session: context, what changed, and what you want to remember. Move unrelated writing to a separate document you control rather than filling one record with an entire week.
Normal journal use keeps the information on this device. JSON backup export includes the recorded fields as readable data; the separate progress-image export deliberately excludes the journal.
Use a concrete example
Before saving pasted text, inspect the beginning and end. Long selections can include an unintended fragment, and the journal is readable personal data in backup exports.

Read the note in context
The limit is a storage rule, not a writing target. A concise sentence that explains a timing anomaly can be more useful than several pages of general commentary.
Fastly is a lifestyle timer and journal. These notes explain the app and offer reflection prompts. They are not medical advice or a prescribed eating schedule.
