Know the data boundary
After local records are removed, Fastly cannot fetch a hidden server copy. Recovery depends on a JSON backup you exported before the clearing occurred.
Use the supported file workflow
Look in the destinations where you actually saved backups, identify the intended dated file, and import it into Fastly. Verify recent records and journals after replacement finishes.
Backup export includes the current session when present, completed history, archived sessions, journal fields, protocol, goal, and supported settings. It is readable JSON, so store the file in a destination whose access you understand.
Check the copy you actually have
The restored ledger is only as recent as that file. Sessions and notes created after the export are not magically added, and a progress image cannot reconstruct them.
Manage each retained copy
If no backup exists, there is no supported account-based recovery path for the erased ledger. Preserve remaining files while you establish what copies are available.
