Understand the record
A restarted phone should not require reconstructing a session from memory if Fastly's local record is still present. The app calculates elapsed time from the persisted start.
Use the controls deliberately
Open Fastly and check Today before pressing start. Compare the shown start date and time with what you remember, then inspect History if the app appears idle.
Fastly keeps one current session, then adds a completed record to History when you stop. The record includes its own protocol and goal, so a later default choice can coexist with earlier settings.
Check a practical example
If the session is present but a widget looks different, use the in-app record as the first reference. The operating system controls widget refresh independently of the stored session.
| Check | Practical meaning |
|---|---|
| Record present | Check stored start |
| Record erased | Previously exported backup needed |
Keep the meaning clear
If local data has been erased, restarting alone cannot recover it. Restore only from a backup you previously exported, and remember that importing replaces current local records.
Fastly is a lifestyle timer and journal. These notes explain the app and offer reflection prompts. They are not medical advice or a prescribed eating schedule.
