THE CHECKLIST · GETTING STARTED

Record an overnight session accurately

An overnight session spans two calendar dates, but it is still one start-and-end record. Most mistakes come from correcting the clock time without correcting the date.

Understand the record

An overnight session spans two calendar dates, but it is still one start-and-end record. Most mistakes come from correcting the clock time without correcting the date.

Use the controls deliberately

Before saving a correction, read both dates in full. Ensure the start is on the earlier date and the end is on the actual finishing date, then check the duration displayed in the Journal tab.

The timer uses a stored start timestamp rather than depending on the screen staying open. Read the date alongside the clock time whenever you correct a session that crosses midnight or a change of local time.

Check a practical example

A session beginning Monday evening and ending Tuesday morning appears under Tuesday in the Journal tab because the app groups completed records by local end date.

Keep the meaning clear

Do not split an overnight record merely to fill both calendar squares. The chart is a view of recorded sessions, not an hour-by-hour allocation of time across midnight.

Fastly is a lifestyle timer and journal. These notes explain the app and offer reflection prompts. They are not medical advice or a prescribed eating schedule.
