A HELPING HAND · CHARTS & PERSPECTIVE

Review a chart after restoring an archive

Restoring a session adds it back to the main-history dataset. If its end date is in the visible week, the corresponding bar can increase immediately.

Read the metric definition

Restoring a session adds it back to the main-history dataset. If its end date is in the visible week, the corresponding bar can increase immediately.

Inspect the contributing records

Locate the restored entry and compare its duration with the change. Check whether the chart's maximum also changed, because that can alter the apparent heights of other bars.

Main-history summaries exclude the active session and archived records. Editing, archiving, restoring, deleting, or importing records can therefore change a chart without any new session having occurred.

Check the relevant distinction

The other records need not have changed at all. A larger maximum can make unchanged bars appear shorter within the same available chart height.

Interpret within the data limits

Treat this as a dataset change, not a newly occurring session today. The restored entry retains its historical end date and affects the summaries for that date.
