Read the metric definition
Deleting removes a session from the local collections rather than merely hiding its row. Any main-history summary that included the record can therefore change along with the list.
Inspect the contributing records
Before deletion, identify the record and consider whether archiving or correcting times is the action you intend. After deletion, inspect the relevant day or total if you need to verify the effect.
Current rhythm counts consecutive qualifying end dates ending today or yesterday. A qualifying date has at least one main-history session that met that session's own saved goal; multiple sessions do not multiply the day.
Check the relevant distinction
If the deleted record was the only qualifying session on a date, Current rhythm may also change. The effect follows the data used by that calculation.
| Check | Practical meaning |
|---|---|
| Delete | Remove the record |
| Summary | Recalculate from remaining history |
Interpret within the data limits
There is no separate immutable statistics archive preserving the old result. The displayed summaries are derived from the records currently retained in main history.
Main-history summaries exclude the active session and archived records. Editing, archiving, restoring, deleting, or importing records can therefore change a chart without any new session having occurred.
A worked walkthrough
Suppose a single main-history entry contributes to the session count, total tracked time, a daily bar, and a qualifying rhythm date. Deleting it can alter all four summaries because they derive from the same retained data. That does not mean four unrelated failures occurred. If another qualifying record remains on the same end date, the rhythm may stay unchanged while count and time fall. If the deleted entry lies outside the last seven dates, the current chart may remain unchanged even though the overall total falls. These differences follow the scope of each view. Before deleting, decide whether the record is unwanted or merely inaccurate; a time correction preserves its journal when appropriate. After deleting, remember that a prior export remains a separate copy and is not automatically edited to match the new ledger.
