Give the entry a purpose
A failed journal save can result from invalid optional weight text or a device-storage problem. Read the actual message before changing a note that may already be valid.
Write and save deliberately
If the message asks for a positive weight, correct or clear that optional field. If it says the note could not save, preserve important text elsewhere while you inspect available device storage.
A journal belongs to a particular session. Saving its note, mood, or weight preserves that record's start, end, protocol, and goal, so descriptive edits do not require a time correction.
Use a concrete example
Reopen the record after a successful retry to confirm the intended content. The visible editor text before saving is not evidence that the updated journal was persisted.
| Check | Practical meaning |
|---|---|
| Validation message | Fix the specified input |
| Storage message | Preserve text and check storage |
Read the note in context
Avoid clearing app data as a first troubleshooting step. That removes the local ledger and cannot recover the unsaved text you were trying to keep.
Fastly is a lifestyle timer and journal. These notes explain the app and offer reflection prompts. They are not medical advice or a prescribed eating schedule.
