Understand the selected surface
Fastly's mobile widget can put the local timer on the Home Screen. The app's widget guide specifies iOS 17 or later and offers Small or Medium Home Screen sizes.
Set it up or export deliberately
Touch and hold the Home Screen, choose Edit and Add Widget, then search for Fastly. Select the size you want and place it where the timer is easy to find.
Widgets read this device's timer, and tapping one opens Fastly. The operating system controls refresh timing, so open the app when you need the latest detailed progress or want to change a session.
Check what is actually shown
Tap the widget to open Fastly when you need the latest progress or want to change a session. The widget is a glanceable view rather than a separate ledger.
| Check | Practical meaning |

| Requirement | iOS 17 or later |

Respect the display and file boundary
The operating system controls refresh timing. If the widget looks stale, open the app before deciding that the recorded start or elapsed duration is wrong.
The iOS guide specifies iOS 17 or later, Small or Medium Home Screen widgets, and a circular Lock Screen option. Android uses the Home Screen widget picker; this desktop release instead recommends the resizable app window.
A worked walkthrough
For a placement walkthrough, first open Fastly and establish the current timer state, then return to the Home Screen widget picker. Search for Fastly and choose one of the supported sizes. Place the widget and inspect the actual value or ready state it shows. Tap it to return to the app and compare the detailed current session. If the widget does not immediately mirror every change, remember that the operating system manages refresh timing. Check the app before treating a delayed view as a paused timer. The iOS version requirement belongs to the widget capability, so use the app's own timer if that surface is unavailable on your current setup. A widget is optional convenience and does not create another storage location for the history. Continue making separate JSON exports if you want a recoverable copy beyond the device's local ledger.
Fastly is a lifestyle timer and journal. These notes explain the app and offer reflection prompts. They are not medical advice or a prescribed eating schedule.
