A LITTLE CLARITY · WIDGETS & SHARING

Understand the This week sharing total

This week on the Share screen sums completed main-history sessions ending within the recent seven-day interval. It displays total duration and the number of included sessions.

Set it up or export deliberately

Select This week and compare the preview with the records near the interval boundary if a value surprises you. The calculation uses end timestamps rather than a fixed Monday-through-Sunday calendar.

Progress images exclude the journal. A JSON backup is a separate, readable file containing the ledger and supported settings, so the two exports have different privacy and recovery consequences.

Check what is actually shown

History's week chart uses seven local dates, which can differ slightly at the edge from a rolling seven-day timestamp cutoff. The two views need not contain exactly the same boundary records.

Respect the display and file boundary

Explain the period if you share or compare the image. The caption is a compact summary, not a full table of dates and individual sessions.

Session sharing uses the current session when present, otherwise the latest completed main-history record. The resulting image is static and does not update later when the timer, record, or summary changes.

A worked walkthrough

For a boundary example, imagine a record ending early on the oldest local date shown in the Journal tab's seven-date chart. Later that same day of the following week, the record may fall outside the Share screen's rolling seven-day timestamp interval even while its date still appears in the calendar-based chart. The two views can therefore differ without either arithmetic sum being wrong. Inspect the actual end timestamp and current time if you need to explain the edge case. Also confirm that a relevant entry remains in main history rather than the archive. When exporting, the image caption provides a session count but not a complete list of timestamps, so avoid presenting it as a detailed accounting table. State the selected recent period in any comparison, and use individual records when precision at the boundary matters to your question.
