Back up before erasing local data

Erase local data removes sessions, journals, and settings from this device. Exported files are separate copies and are not removed by that in-app action.

Know the data boundary

Erase local data removes sessions, journals, and settings from this device. Exported files are separate copies and are not removed by that in-app action.

Use the supported file workflow

Before confirming erasure, decide whether you want a recoverable copy. If so, export JSON and verify its destination while the records still exist in the app.

Backup export includes the current session when present, completed history, archived sessions, journal fields, protocol, goal, and supported settings. It is readable JSON, so store the file in a destination whose access you understand.

Check the copy you actually have

Read the confirmation carefully: erasing is different from archiving a few entries or changing a goal. Use the narrower action if your purpose is simply to reorganize or adjust preferences.

Manage each retained copy

If your purpose is complete removal of personal copies, manage exported files independently. The app's erase action cannot reach files you previously saved elsewhere.

Fastly is a lifestyle timer and journal. These notes explain the app and offer reflection prompts. They are not medical advice or a prescribed eating schedule.
