Understand the selected surface
A newly exported progress image reflects the current eligible record or summary. An image you exported before a correction remains an older static copy.
Set it up or export deliberately
Correct the session in the Journal tab first, return to Share, and inspect the new preview. Confirm that Session still selects the record you intend, especially if a current timer now exists.
Progress images exclude the journal. A JSON backup is a separate, readable file containing the ledger and supported settings, so the two exports have different privacy and recovery consequences.
Check what is actually shown
If you previously shared the old image, exporting a corrected one does not edit the recipient's copy. Explain the correction if the distinction matters to the conversation.
Respect the display and file boundary
Keep images and backups dated or described clearly when accuracy matters. They are snapshots of different formats and scopes, not live windows into the app.
