Understand the selected surface
When no session is currently active, Session uses the newest completed main-history record. Confirm which record that is before assuming the image refers to an older session you had in mind.
Set it up or export deliberately
Check the latest entry in the Journal tab, then open Share and inspect the displayed duration. If a new active session exists, the Session choice uses that current record instead.
The iOS guide specifies iOS 17 or later, Small or Medium Home Screen widgets, and a circular Lock Screen option. Android uses the Home Screen widget picker; this desktop release instead recommends the resizable app window.
Check what is actually shown
The Share screen is not a per-record image picker for any arbitrary historical entry. Its current-or-latest selection rule determines the source shown in the preview.
Respect the display and file boundary
The journal is excluded from the image. Review the visible duration and caption anyway, because even a minimal progress value can be personal information you may not want to send.
The Share screen exports a PNG for Session, Rhythm, or This week, with Square, Story, or Landscape proportions and 1080 px or 2160 px width. Preview the selected quantity before choosing a destination.
A worked walkthrough
Suppose you want to show the session you just finished. Check it in the Journal tab, make any known timing correction, and open Share while no new timer is active. Session should then use the newest completed main-history record. If you have already begun another session, the current record takes precedence, so the preview can legitimately differ from the completed row you were thinking about. Do not stop a genuine current session merely to force a share selection without considering what event that would record. The screen's selection rule is a capability boundary, not an arbitrary historical-record picker. If you need to communicate another entry, choose an appropriate method and preview its personal information deliberately. Any built-in PNG you export stays a static visual and excludes the journal, while the complete JSON backup serves a separate portability and recovery purpose.
