Decide what cue you want
Start time is a reminder preference, not an appointment the app can enforce. Choose it as a convenience for the occasions when a nudge is useful.
Check the relevant settings
Consider the local clock time you want to see an invitation to open Fastly. Save that time, then check whether quiet hours would move it to another moment.
Notification delivery also depends on the operating system, permission, battery restrictions, and presentation settings. Fastly's timer reads the device clock; an accurately calculated duration does not guarantee an exactly timed alert.
Understand the timing distinction
If the cue repeatedly arrives at an inconvenient point, revise or disable it. A note about the practical issue may be more useful than repeatedly dismissing a poorly placed notification.
| Check | Practical meaning |
|---|---|
| Preference | When to receive a cue |
| Action | You decide whether to start |
Keep control of the routine
The chosen time does not automatically create a session. You retain the decision to start, change settings, or leave the app idle.
Fastly is a lifestyle timer and journal. These notes explain the app and offer reflection prompts. They are not medical advice or a prescribed eating schedule.
