Understand the selected surface
The Share screen offers Session, Rhythm, and This week. These select different quantities for the visual, so choose the one that matches what you intend to show.
Set it up or export deliberately
Select the content, inspect the preview's large value and caption, then choose format and image width. Export only after the preview conveys the intended context.
Session sharing uses the current session when present, otherwise the latest completed main-history record. The resulting image is static and does not update later when the timer, record, or summary changes.
Check what is actually shown
Session uses the current session when one exists, otherwise the latest completed record. Rhythm uses the consecutive-day summary, and This week uses recent completed sessions.
| Check | Practical meaning |
|---|---|
| Session | Current or latest completed |
| Rhythm or This week | Different summary quantities |
Respect the display and file boundary
The image does not include the journal. If you need detailed records, a backup has a different purpose and contains far more personal information.
Widgets read this device's timer, and tapping one opens Fastly. The operating system controls refresh timing, so open the app when you need the latest detailed progress or want to change a session.
A worked walkthrough
Consider three reasons to open Share. To show the currently running session, choose Session and verify that an active record is indeed the source. To show the software's consecutive qualifying-date count, choose Rhythm and understand its goal-based definition. To show a recent aggregate, choose This week and inspect the number of included sessions. These are different quantities even though the same visual style can display each as a large value. After selecting the meaning, choose proportions and pixel width, then read the final preview before opening a destination. The exported PNG remains static when the ledger changes later. If you need a restorable copy rather than a visual, leave this workflow and export JSON instead. Thinking in that order—meaning, presentation, destination—reduces the chance of sending a polished image that communicates a different number than you intended.
Fastly is a lifestyle timer and journal. These notes explain the app and offer reflection prompts. They are not medical advice or a prescribed eating schedule.
