Decide what cue you want
Operating-system battery rules can delay notification delivery even when Fastly has scheduled a local reminder. The in-app reminder page explicitly notes this limit.
Check the relevant settings
First confirm the app settings and permission, then inspect the device's battery or background restrictions for Fastly. Use the system's own descriptions rather than assuming one label applies on every device.
The notification service skips scheduling instants that are already in the past. A goal can therefore be reached in the app without a new retrospective alert after a start correction or goal reduction.
Understand the timing distinction
Compare the notification behavior with the session timestamps. A late alert can coexist with an accurate elapsed display because the timer calculates from the stored start when opened.
| Check | Practical meaning |
|---|---|
| App schedule | Local intended alert |
| Delivery | Subject to battery and OS behavior |
Keep control of the routine
Avoid assuming guaranteed exact alarms after a setting change. Android scheduling here is inexactAllowWhileIdle, so delivery timing remains subject to the operating system.
Fastly is a lifestyle timer and journal. These notes explain the app and offer reflection prompts. They are not medical advice or a prescribed eating schedule.
