THE CHECKLIST · GETTING STARTED

Prepare the timer before travel

Travel adds changing clocks and interrupted routines to a simple timer. A little preparation can make the record easier to interpret when you open it in another place.

Understand the record

Travel adds changing clocks and interrupted routines to a simple timer. A little preparation can make the record easier to interpret when you open it in another place.

Use the controls deliberately

Export a current backup before the trip, inspect reminder settings, and note the date of any active session. Reopen Fastly after changing time zones to review the local display.

For an active record, changing the goal preserves the start, note, mood, and optional weight. The controller also recalculates any enabled goal reminder, subject to permission and quiet-hour settings.

Check a practical example

The exported record stores timestamps as UTC strings and reads them back as local times. A displayed calendar date can therefore differ when viewed in another time zone.

Keep the meaning clear

A change of displayed date does not by itself prove time was added or lost. Compare the start, end, and duration together before editing anything.

Fastly is a lifestyle timer and journal. These notes explain the app and offer reflection prompts. They are not medical advice or a prescribed eating schedule.
