Set quiet hours across midnight

Quiet hours can span midnight, such as an evening From time and a morning Until time. An alert inside that interval is moved to the next end of quiet hours.

Decide what cue you want

Quiet hours can span midnight, such as an evening From time and a morning Until time. An alert inside that interval is moved to the next end of quiet hours.

Check the relevant settings

Enable Do not disturb in Fastly's Reminders page, choose From and Until, and read both clock times carefully. Then inspect any active goal whose alert might land inside the interval.

Notification delivery also depends on the operating system, permission, battery restrictions, and presentation settings. Fastly's timer reads the device clock; an accurately calculated duration does not guarantee an exactly timed alert.

Understand the timing distinction

With a 22:00–07:00 quiet interval, an alert due at 23:00 moves to 07:00 the following morning. The goal itself remains based on the session's original duration.

Keep control of the routine

Fastly's quiet hours are separate from system focus and notification settings. Both layers can affect what you hear or see, so check them independently when troubleshooting.

The controller cancels old goal and start schedules before computing the relevant new ones. Goal changes and start corrections resynchronize reminders from the current session data and current quiet-hour settings.

A worked walkthrough

For a clock example, take a quiet interval that begins at 22:00 and ends at 07:00. A goal instant of 23:30 lies in that interval and moves to 07:00 the following morning. An instant of 06:30 also moves to that morning's 07:00, while one at 08:00 remains outside the interval. These are scheduling examples, not suggested fasting times. The session goal remains its original elapsed-duration threshold in each case; quiet hours do not redefine how many hours were chosen. If an alert still appears later, inspect device presentation and battery behavior as another layer. When reviewing the record afterward, use start and end timestamps rather than the delayed notification's arrival as the event time. The interval is intended to adapt a cue to your preference, not to rewrite the underlying ledger.

Fastly is a lifestyle timer and journal. These notes explain the app and offer reflection prompts. They are not medical advice or a prescribed eating schedule.
