Understand the record
The 14:10 option corresponds to a fourteen-hour timer goal in Fastly. Its practical role is to save you from typing a duration when that is the setting you intend to record.
Use the controls deliberately
Inspect the selected goal before tapping start, particularly if you changed presets while exploring the app. A saved preference can carry into the next session.
Completed records can be edited through History. An end must follow its start and cannot be in the future; the controller reorders history after a valid correction so the list follows completion time.
Check a practical example
If yesterday used a different goal, compare the actual durations as well as the goal markers. Two records can have different markers simply because their intended durations differed.
| Check | Practical meaning |
|---|---|
| 14:10 label | Fourteen-hour app goal |
| Goal marker | Relative to that record |
Keep the meaning clear
A shorter preset is not a lower-quality record. Fastly logs elapsed time and optional reflections; the label provides context for that log rather than a ranking of people.
Fastly keeps one current session, then adds a completed record to History when you stop. The record includes its own protocol and goal, so a later default choice can coexist with earlier settings.
A worked walkthrough
Suppose one historical record uses 14:10 and another uses a different protocol. Begin a comparison by reading their actual durations, then consider what each record's goal marker means. A marker on the 14:10 record reflects its own fourteen-hour threshold, not a universal standard that all entries share. This becomes particularly relevant when looking at Current rhythm, which depends on goal-met dates rather than raw duration alone. If the default goal has changed since those records were made, do not rewrite the earlier entries merely to make their labels match. Their differing settings can be useful context for understanding a change in your logging routine. If you were only exploring the preset picker, return to the intended selection before starting so the next session receives the setting you actually mean to record.
