Decide what cue you want
Notifications are optional. Fastly's timer and local history can still serve as a manual record when you prefer to open the app on your own terms.
Check the relevant settings
Leave individual reminder choices off or disable All reminders. Start and stop sessions from Today and review the saved record in the Journal tab without expecting an alert to mark the end.
Quiet-hour alerts move to the end of the configured interval. That shift does not alter the start timestamp, chosen goal, elapsed time, or the fact that only stopping creates a completed history record.
Understand the timing distinction
A widget can provide another way to glance at the timer, but its refresh is also controlled by the operating system. The app remains the place to inspect the latest stored state.
| Check | Practical meaning |
|---|---|
| Manual use | Open app when useful |
| Notifications | Optional extra cue |
Keep control of the routine
Choosing no notifications does not remove your goal or prevent records from being saved. It simply removes one optional cue from the workflow.
Fastly is a lifestyle timer and journal. These notes explain the app and offer reflection prompts. They are not medical advice or a prescribed eating schedule.
